10. Are Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge rides handicap accessible?

Absolutely! ADA riders can enjoy both attractions at Galaxy’s Edge, as well as enjoy easy navigation through the land. When Disneyland Park was built, queues were smaller and pathways were more narrow. Compare that to when California Adventure was built—massive walkways and every attraction queue can accommodate wheelchairs. We’re delighted to see so much thought and effort put into ADA accessible rides for Galaxy’s Edge.

Mike Farnham of the popular Facebook group, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge says, “ADA Riders – You can enjoy BOTH rides just like everyone else. (maybe even BETTER!). Smuggler’s Run – there are stationary ‘pods’ (cockpits) for you to ride the ride. Not a part of the turntable, mounted to the floor. They are the same exact pod as the others, so you will have to xfr to a seat to ride. Not rushed to get in your seat like the rest. ** NOTE – since you are not on the turntable, technically the CM could make your ride last longer! Be nice to your CM and ask, who knows!?

Rise of the Resistance (RotR) – On the ‘Driver’s side’ front row of the 8-passenger vehicle, is the ADA seating. Like the Smuggler’s Run, you will need to xfr to the seat, but you are doing it while it is parked, so you have time to xfr., CMs will be there to assist! Once the ride is over, the CMs will again help you back out of the ADA seat. If more than one seat is needed, they will just use more front row seats.”

Guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will enter Black Spire Outpost, the largest settlement on the planet BatuuDisney Parks Blog and as says, “is an infamous stop for traders, adventurers, and smugglers traveling around the Outer Rim and Wild Space. Off the beaten path, this outpost has become a haven for the galaxy’s most colorful — and notorious — characters.
