Grand Legacy At The Park sits on prime Harbor Boulevard property across the street from the Disneyland Resort. I stayed at this hotel for four nights as they transformed from Ramada Maingate to an independent hotel, Grand Legacy At The Park. Plus keep reading to get our Grand Legacy promo code.
Grand Legacy At The Park has been family owned for 40 years, but has undergone huge renovations within the last 3 years and doesn’t show its age at all (more on that later!). Enjoy 11% off your stay at Grand Legacy At The Park by using RATE ACCESS CODE: HAPPY. Book your stay now.
After taking a shuttle from LAX to Anaheim, I arrived at Grand Legacy At The Park for a quick and efficient check in process. The new lobby is still under construction but I’ll give you a preview of what’s to come below. The hotel buildings face the interior parking, swimming pool and courtyard, along with a completely new building that sits directly on Harbor Blvd.
Grand Legacy at the Park Pros
A Quick Walk to Disneyland
Grand Legacy At The Park kills it with location. I’ve stayed at other hotels that are “within walking distance” of Disneyland. That’s code for, “It’s totally walkable but pretty long with a crew of kids after a long day at Disneyland.” Grand Legacy at the Park is minutes from Disneyland property. I walked back and forth several times for naps and breaks without a problem.
Just out my window I had a great view of Tower of Terror, Paradise Pier, Mickey’s Fun Wheel and fireworks. Their new rooftop bar, The Fifth, opens at the end of February 2016 and will give you amazing front-row access to those Disneyland fireworks every night.
Affordable Self Parking
Self park is available for a small, daily fee. I like that you could park and access your car easily and at any time. Nearby hotels often require valet because of limited space. While valet is nice, it’s also sometimes a pain when you need to load or unload your car.
Ultra Clean Disneyland Area Hotel
Remodeled, updated and clean rooms. Really what more could you ask for in this department? The interior is tastefully decorated with updated furnishings, window coverings and a complete remodel of the bathroom and vanity area. I’ve been to a lot of hotels where they just re-caulk or put new tile on top of old tile—this is not the case here.
I have an eye for detail when it comes to cleanliness. I cringe when I see a stray hair on the vanity (or anywhere else!) or dust and gunk around the base of the toilet. My hotel room was spotless, and the bathroom was so clean (including the grout and base of the toilet) I even took a hot bath to relax. I was pleasantly surprised to find the tub a lot larger than most hotel bathtubs.
The Price is Right
Price is spot on with those looking for moderately priced hotels near Disneyland. Grand Legacy At The Park makes a great Disneyland stay on a budget without sacrificing comfort, cleanliness or location. And for those larger groups, you truly can’t beat their prices on their 2 and 3 room suites. More on that below.

Grand Legacy at the Park Extra Perks
Brand New Suites with a Disney View
The new suites at Grand Legacy will be open for reservations soon, but I was able to get a sneak peek at the gorgeous interior. And did I mention the largest suite at Grand Legacy At The Park can sleep 11 people?! They really knew what they were doing when they planned this new building up front on Harbor Blvd.
Special Dining Discounts
Don’t forget your room card key to enjoy special discounts at nearby Denny’s and McDonald’s on Harbor Blvd. And there’s plenty of room to store leftovers in your mini-fridge. Rooms also includes a microwave to re-heat food for a late night snack.
Heated Swimming Pool and Splash Zone
Pools are a big deal in Southern California and this pool did not disappoint. I used the hot tub and actually swam in their heated pool in January! It was pure bliss. They have a large pool with a beach entry and splash zone for kids and adults to cool off in.
There is plenty of seating with tables and lounge chairs around the pool and it definitely makes for a beautiful setting when looking out your room window.
Grand Legacy also hosts poolside movie nights complete with free drinks and popcorn.
Grand Legacy At The Park offers discount stays for Disneyland Annual Passholders. This is a great option when you want to make your Disneyland visit more of a stay-cation and not worry about battling traffic. Not an Annual Passholder? You can still stay at a discount; Grand Legacy At The Park by using RATE ACCESS CODE: HAPPY. Book your stay now.

Grand Legacy at the Park Cons
Even after undergoing a huge remodel, complete with a new lobby, roof top bar and new rooms, there is no fitness center. I have become so accustomed to having at least a treadmill and some free weights at hotels that I didn’t even think to check if they had a fitness center on site.
Instead, I took advantage of their heated pool to swim some laps and the outdoor staircases for my morning workout (not to mention the 10 miles I walked every day at the parks).

The bottom line: would I stay here again? Absolutely, and I plan to stay there a second time this summer. What hotels do you love near Disneyland?
