The Anaheim Hotel Review

Newly refreshed, The Anaheim Hotel on Harbor Blvd. is one hotel you’ll want to try the next time you visit The Disneyland Resort.

The Anaheim Hotel Review

Do you remember what was once The Anaheim Plaza Hotel on Harbor Blvd.? It’s been part of the Disneyland story since 1960 and is full of California charm and mid-century modern heritage.

Today The Anaheim Hotel stands newly named The Anaheim Hotel along with new management who took over in late 2016.

The Anaheim Hotel Location

In April 2017, The Anaheim Hotel officially took on its new name and welcomed the first guests under a new title and fresh look. I was invited to experience first-hand the transformations that have been in the works since late 2016. I was also able to learn about what’s coming for the future of this boutique hotel located steps away from The Disneyland Resort’s main gates.

Now let’s jump right into the basics of The Anaheim Hotel located at 1700 S. Harbor Blvd.

It is a winner in both price point and location—essential areas. For starters, you are just across the street from California Adventure with views of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout and the Hyperion Theatre (where you can watch the amazing Frozen Broadway-style show).

The crosswalk at Harbor Blvd. and Disney Way is just outside your door. I liked how you can cross right there and be on Disney property, walking on a lovely manicured path tucked back from the road. It’s a quick 5 minute walk from that point and you’re already at Disneyland’s main gates.Package

The Anaheim Hotel offers moderately priced accommodations with rates starting at only $99. To get an even better picture of what you might pay for a room at The Anaheim Hotel. Booking early always helps secure low prices so if you have a date in mind, you can check prices here.

The Anaheim Hotel Rooms & Grounds

The grounds of The Anaheim Hotel remind me of quintessential Southern California living. Just like the numerous apartment and condominiums dotting the coastline and valleys of L.A. and Orange County, you’ll live like a local at The Anaheim Hotel.

The sprawling grounds cover 9 acres with plenty of lush landscaping including a newly planted rose garden. Of course we can’t forget to mention the huge olympic sized pool with expansive lounging areas.

If you’ve stayed here before you know about the large patios and balconies with select rooms.

I really enjoyed being about to sit out on our balcony with plenty of space to relax while my littles were inside enjoying the Disney channel (of course!). Plus, I could even see the Disneyland fireworks right from my room!

Rooms come with a mini fridge and microwave. Target on Harbor is just a short drive away if you need snacks and groceries for your Disneyland vacation.

The Anaheim Hotel Extra Perks

While it certainly shouldn’t be considered an “extra” perk, I must mention the incredible warmth and genuine good vibes from all of the staff members I came in contact with. Many did not know I was there for a review, including the maintenance staff which were in our room within 5 minutes when I couldn’t figure out how to work the T.V. (priorities people!).

I’ve stayed at many hotels and certainly many near Disneyland. The front desk staff, the maid service and even valet attendants were probably among the best I’ve ever interacted with . . . it made my stay that much better.

Along with the friendly staff, The Anaheim Hotel also boasts the famed The Pizza Press onsite, a lounge area with cocktails, beer and entrees, along with space for events, a fitness room, gift shop and business center.

I truly enjoyed my stay and look forward to the many improvements they have coming our way. Check out ticket prices and special offers now to keep up-to-date with The Anaheim Hotel.
