Spring break and Easter at Disneyland. The pink flowers are in bloom all around Disneyland Resort. The weather is mild and the kids are out of school for spring break. Here’s what we’ve got planned for Easter at Disneyland or even some Disney Easter fun at home.
Easter at Disneyland
Easter always falls on a Sunday and is celebrated on these dates in the upcoming years.
- April 20, 2025
- April 5, 2026
- March 28, 2027
- April 16, 2028
The best times to book your Disneyland Spring Break vacation are outlined, step-by-step below.
- Check the Disneyland reservation calendar to make sure there are openings for your desired theme park visit. Be sure to toggle over to hopper or one park per day tickets.
- Not sure which Disneyland ticket to get? I suggest a 3-day park hopper with Genie+ for the best value. Book your Disneyland vacation package, along with discount tickets here from my partners at Get Away Today.
3. Officially secure your theme park reservation within minutes of receiving your tickets.
4. Book sit down dining for special Easter offering at select locations. Get free dining alerts here.
5. Print your Disneyland Plan for the most magical experience yet.
Disneyland Easter Egg Hunt
Springtime tradition means the return of the ever-popular Disney Egg-Stravaganza! Everyone in your family can participate when you visit Disneyland this spring.
This year participate March and April in Disneyland Park, California Adventure Park and/or Downtown Disney. Each playing card is about $9.99 plus tax.
In the weeks surrounding Easter, pick up a map and sticker set to search for hidden eggs throughout the Disneyland Resort. You then embark on an egg-themed scavenger hunt with the themed eggstravaganza game board as your guide.
Purchase maps and sticker sets at select merchandise locations:
- Plaza Point (the small shop to your right on Main Street, U.S.A. by the Corn Dog Cart) to hunt for eggs in Disneyland Park
- Elias & Co. to hunt for eggs in Disney California Adventure Park
- World of Disney Store and Pin Traders to hunt for eggs in the Downtown Disney District
Each map is different, making for a possible of three egg hunts.
When you find the giant hidden eggs throughout the resort, record it with a corresponding sticker on your map. At the end, whether you’re done finding all the eggs or just enough eggs for your little tired feet, return your map to cast members at an Egg-stravaganza redemption location throughout the resort.
This traditional spring activity concludes as you choose your prize to take home! Prizes in the past have varied with an Easter egg filled surprise, seasonal Disney tumblers and more.
My kids have loved this activity in its various forms throughout the year. We typically do the Downtown Disney version on our arrival or departure day.
Meet the Easter Bunny & Disney Characters
Is meeting the Easter Bunny one of your family traditions this time of year? How about running into some of your favorite spring time pals at Disneyland?
- Chase the white rabbit down, down, down on Alice in Wonderland attraction in Fantasyland
- Take a spin with Roger Rabbit in Mickey’s Toontown (reopening in 2023)
- Feeling lucky? Oswald the Luck Rabbit can often be found on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure
Of course there are many favorite spring animals featured in the classic film Bambi, which is a great pick to watch on Disney+ this season. I love Thumper and Flower myself.
The Easter Bunny usually shows up at Disneyland Park over Easter weekend only.
Disneyland Spring Break Treats
New treats and returning favorites fill the shelves at Disneyland Resort. I suggest scrolling through mobile order options to pick out your treats without the long waits.
Most of these staples you can find at various candy shops around Disneyland but here are a few highlights:
- Easter Bunny cake pop and/or cookies on Main Street U.S.A. at Candy Palace
- Adorable yellow baby chick cake pop at Marceline’s Confectionery
- Specialty candy apples and treats at Pooh’s Corner in Critter Country
- Bunny butt cake pops and/or cookies at Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street
- Famous handmade Disneyland Easter Eggs with fudge milk chocolate and various flavors
Don’t forget to watch candy makers prepare these incredible edible creations. Then you can stop and order more inside!

Don’t forget the baskets and colored eggs! Whether you’re on vacation at Disneyland or just want to channel your inner Mickey Mouse, you’re going to want to fill those baskets beforehand with savings from shopDisney.
1. Start off with an Easter “basket” with a twist. I am always looking for new ways to package gifts and I love the idea of Disney luggage with traditional spring treats and gifts inside. This is especially perfect for future vacations to The Happiest Place on Earth.
2. Add a one of the popular 5-Minute Stories to your Easter gift.
3. Before you pile in the candy, put one of these adorable Disney plushes inside. This entire spring gift set will top off the perfect night away at Disneyland or at home.
Whether you’re heading to Disneyland for Easter this year or planning a Disney-filled Easter celebration at home, we hope you have a magical time celebrating this special day.
Disneyland Easter History
We’ve seen some festive and fun spring offers in the past from Disneyland Resort including these listed below. Should something like this return this year, I’ll be sure to update this article.
This information was from 2017, we expect 2023 extras to be announced soon and will update as soon as possible.
Do you happen to know if Roger Rabbit will be out for Meet and Greet? We’re planning a trip the weekend after Easter and I heard he comes out with others in a special area at this time of year.
Hi Erica, I have heard this as well but have not been able to confirm anything for 2023. However, I do think this Easter would be perfect, especially considering Mickey’s Toontown will reopen very soon, along with the namesake attraction.
Thank you so much for the reply! Roger Rabbit is a favorite and it would be awesome to be able to meet and greet with him while there. Do you happen to know if Oswald is a regular again, since he had been taken away for a bit? and is Ortensia staying also?
