When I want to impress someone who hasn’t been to Disneyland often or in a while, I usually bring them to Craftsman Bar. I’ve taken my dad here when he stopped by just for dinner, I took my daughter and her bestie here on night one of their teenage girls trip and Craftsman Bar is one place I keep in my dining rotation. It’s a chill spot at Disneyland Resort, located at the Grand Californian Hotel—so there’s no theme park ticket required.

We’re talking fresh bites in California infused cuisines at the all new Craftsman Bar and most people walk right by this spot without realizing anyone can dine here. Remember, you don’t need to be a hotel guest to dine here. You don’t even need a theme park ticket! It’s such a hidden gem right along the water with live music and delicious food.
Craftsman Bar Atmosphere
First let’s clarify, there are two different venues here but they are right next to each other at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel.
GCH Craftsman Grill
All ages welcome and no reservations needed. Come in here for a quick bite if you’re staying at the Grand Californian, or if you’re popping over from California Adventure for a meal. Dine indoors with ample seating for families and friends.

GCH Craftsman Bar
All ages welcome, but only those 21+ can sit at the actual bar. You’ll dine outdoors on the patio of the Grand Californian Pool. In the evening, experience live music and a laid-back crowd. Tables and lounge areas provide comfortable seating. Read more about the inspiration behind the bar here.

We loved sitting in comfy outdoor chairs with a low coffee table type set up. Other times I have sat at regular table seating and you can certainly request whichever you prefer. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance, it’s elegant yet relaxed, casual yet sophisticated. It’s a space where comfort meets refinement, making it feel both inviting and upscale.
It’s a relaxing Disneyland dining option, away from the bustle of the theme parks but just minutes off the beaten path. There’s also live music most nights and if you’re lucky enough to stop by when these two are here, you’re in for a huge treat.
This duo keeps things lively and entertaining almost every night of the week. If you happen to find out who they are, let me know so I can give them proper credit for the amazing job they do.
