Festival Events

Select events during Food & Wine require registration (and a fee), while others are open to anyone visiting the park that day, space permitting.
Junior Chef and Family Freebies
Jr Chef is available on a first-come, first-served basis for children ages 3 to 11, normally offered several times per day. This event is free and it’s recommended you sign up 45 minutes prior to the show you wish to attend.
Times are typically 2:30, 4:00 and 5:00 pm on weekdays but may be limited on weekends to 4:00 and 5:00 pm.
In 2024 it was confection “purrfection” inspired by Disney Junior SuperKitties. Your incredible and enthusiastic host, along with Minnie Mouse will entertain and delight young guests and they decorate their very own cupcake to enjoy.
In 2022 and 2023, Jr Chef featured Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party.
You can also meet Chef Goofy in the Hollywood Backlot area for family photos and Goofy antics.
Another freebie on the list for families is Jammin’ Chefs. It’s a fantastic, upbeat and live entertainment event happening in front of The Little Mermaid attraction.
In past years we’ve also watched Jammin’ Chefs in Hollywood Land.
Along with your paid park admission you can attend various presentations on select days during Food & Wine Festival. This year you can add on these exclusive options:
- Carthay Circle Winemaker Receptions – Enjoy hand-selected California wines, masterfully paired with an array of small plates.
- Wine, Beer and Mixology Education & Tasting Seminars – Discover something special when sommeliers, brew masters and mixologists divulge their industry expertise during these fascinating 45-minute sessions.
- Hotel Winemaker & Mixology Class Experiences – Enjoy a special Winemaker Reception and Trader Sam’s Tiki Mixology Class.
The above options do require additional reservations.
Shopping
Sprinkled among the food and wine booths, you can also find limited edition merchandise and unique gift ideas, cooking supplies and more during the Food & Wine Festival.
I loved the colors of merchandise which centered around bright, bold colors in past years. I can’t wait to see the look for future years.
What’s California Adventure without some signature California merchandise? All this and more available during California Adventure’s Food & Wine Festival runs February 28 – April 21, 2025.
