Jedi Training Academy’s new name is Trails of the Temple. New: Kids can now sign up to train as a Jedi and use their skills to defeat the Dark Side. Not only is it fun to watch your kids participate, it’s a perfect time to relax and take a break at the Galactic Grill while being totally entertained by this Star Wars inspired performance.

Who Can Participate Jedi Training?

Children ages 4-12 are encouraged to sign up at the kiosk outside the Star Wars Launch Bay exit. Registration now begins during Extra Magic Hour, but half of the time slots are reserved for park regular opening. If this is on your list, have one parent take the Jedi Training participant with them to sign up for a spot. NOTE: Jedi Training closing November 4, 2018.

Head over to the Galactic Grill Stage (formerly Tomorrowland Terrace) in Disneyland Park where you’ll find the plenty of shaded seating options (as long as you arrive early). This is a fabulous time to rest your feet, have a snack or grab a burger while you watch the kids battle Darth Vader.

When is Jedi Training?

Jedi Training is generally daily at 10:30 am, 11:35 am, 12:40 pm, 2:25 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:35pm. Be sure to check the schedule on the day you arrive to verify times. When you sign up for Jedi Training upon park opening, you can select from available times. NOTE: Jedi Training closing November 4, 2018.

More Tips for Jedi Training

  • Head to the Star Wars Launch Bay exit upon park opening to register for Jedi Training, all children must be present.
  • Dress in Star Wars attire to really get into the mind of a Jedi.
  • Bring Star Wars snacks, like these Jelly Belly beans, for the kids to eat while waiting for the show to begin. Jedi TrainingJedi Training
  • Don’t worry too much about getting the perfect picture of your Jedi-in-training, PhotoPass photographers are on hand and right in the action. At the end of Jedi training they will hand you and/or your child a PhotoPass card to order up-close action shots after your trip.
  • Pick up can be a little tricky; during training they tell the kids and make them repeat where to exit when it’s over. If you’re looking at the stage, the kids will exit to the left (toward Finding Nemo). Be sure to send one adult to that side just before it’s over so no one gets lost in the crowd or confusion. I recommend one adult remain at your seat as kids have likely seen where you’re sitting and may try to return there.
