More Tips for Jedi Training
- Head to the Star Wars Launch Bay exit upon park opening to register for Jedi Training, all children must be present.
- Dress in Star Wars attire to really get into the mind of a Jedi.
- Bring Star Wars snacks, like these Jelly Belly beans, for the kids to eat while waiting for the show to begin.
- Don’t worry too much about getting the perfect picture of your Jedi-in-training, PhotoPass photographers are on hand and right in the action. At the end of Jedi training they will hand you and/or your child a PhotoPass card to order up-close action shots after your trip.
- Pick up can be a little tricky; during training they tell the kids and make them repeat where to exit when it’s over. If you’re looking at the stage, the kids will exit to the left (toward Finding Nemo). Be sure to send one adult to that side just before it’s over so no one gets lost in the crowd or confusion. I recommend one adult remain at your seat as kids have likely seen where you’re sitting and may try to return there.
Do you purchase the brown robe, or do the kids simply borrow one while participating?
Karen, that is such a great question! The robe and light saber is provided but stays afterward. All you need to do is show up at your appointed time and they’ll teach the kids everything they need to know.
About how long does it take for the child to participate in this – start to finish?
Give yourself 15 minutes for the sign up process first thing in the morning and then about an hour for the entire Jedi Training process. They prep them and teach them what to do before they actually go on stage for the battle.
Thank you! I was looking for the updated details since they started signups and this is perfect.
No problem Kristen, you’re going to love the new version and how nice it is to have sign ups rather than hoping your kid gets selected.
