You’ll find this cozy location first at Downtown Disney if approaching Downtown Disney from the Disneyland & California Adventure gates. Read more about this delicious spot for quick and casual dining.
La Brea Bakery Cafe: Basics
Choose from La Brea Bakery Express (head in the doors on the left) for quick eats or La Brea Bakery Cafe (visit the hosts on the right) for table service. No reservations needed, but they are available. This is a great spot to grab a quick breakfast while you wait in line for rope drop.
La Brea Bakery Cafe: Atmosphere
On the express side, ample outdoor seating overlooks the Esplanade area in-between Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park gates. It’s a quite, shaded area and very comfortable. There are also bathrooms located just to the side
On the cafe side, there’s outdoor seating that faces Downtown Disney and World of Disney. Shade and heat lamps (when needed) offer a nice relaxing spot to enjoy your meal.
La Brea Bakery Cafe: Menu
Brunch is available until 3:00pm and the portions are large. We split 2 entrees for breakfast one morning between 4 of us and still had food left over!
There are hot and cold options made fresh to order, or grab something simple to take with you into the parks.
If you’re not tempted by their huge brunch selection, you’ll find the dinner options (served from lunch to close) just as impressive.
My kids are pretty predictable when it comes to eating out. They typically get something off my list of top 10 Disneyland kid meals, like mac and cheese or pizza.
At La Brea Bakery, they stuck to their staples but were just as impressed.
I ordered the club sandwich which was perfect for a hot summer day. I guess I shouldn’t pick on my kids for ordering the same things at every different restaurant because I think I do the same thing! I can’t resist a good club sandwich.
I also ordered a delicious and refreshing drink off their summer special menu. It was gone in a flash and was much more mild than the specialty drinks offered inside Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park. I usually find those too sweet to finish, but this one hit the spot.
