Disneyland Guide for Toddlers
There are so many rides, attractions and play places your family can experience at Disneyland Resort. And the list continues to grow. But remember, just because a ride can accommodate every height, it doesn’t mean the ride is a good fit for your child.
For this reason, you won’t see some rides listed that are considered more thrill-type and/or scary rides in our itinerary. But our Disneyland itinerary for toddlers & preschoolers does allow for flexibility and adjustments as needed for a few more rides and experiences.

Disneyland Itinerary FAQs
Now that you’ve had a chance to go through your Disneyland itinerary, you might have a few questions. While some of my strategies are part of the Disneyland Plan secret sauce, I do want to fill you in on some things you may be curious about.
Will this Disneyland Plan work for the day I am going? Will everything be open?
This Disneyland itinerary is meant for a general audience, on a typical day. Not all rides and attractions will be open. See what’s closed during your visit here. If you’d like something specific for your date, group and interests, I would love to put together a custom Disneyland Plan for you.
Why is Peter Pan’s Flight listed so late in the day?
Do a quick search online and you’ll find nearly every person who’s ever gone to Disneyland giving you advice about riding Peter Pan’s Flight first thing in the morning.
I used to give that advice too, back when there was a slow season at Disneyland Resort. While every day at Disneyland is different, this plan was created for a typical day.
Even those who are first in line at Sleeping Beauty Castle first thing in the morning find themselves, surprisingly enough, waiting in a 30-40 minute line at Peter Pan’s Flight first thing in the morning.
Check back throughout the day and you’ll find the line remains much the same, rarely ever dropping below 40 minutes. Come afternoon and the hot sun drenches the shadeless queue of people waiting in line in Fantasyland.
I’ve structured this plan to get you on the most rides during the least crowded time of day and I simply can’t list Peter Pan’s Flight early in the morning anymore. If you’re brave and you want to try your luck, just hop back to the plan after your flight :).
I have a young child, how does Rider Switch work?
If you have a child who does not meet the height requirement or doesn’t wish to ride, for example, Matterhorn Bobsleds, this makes it easy for you to split into two groups and everyone can still enjoy the attraction.
Approach the queue as a group (child included). Talk to the first Cast Member you see and tell them you’d like to get a rider switch pass.
Can you put these rides in the best oder for me?
Yes, you can [purchase_link id=”6946″ style=”plain” color=”” text=”print out the itinerary here”] or we can put together a custom Disneyland Plan specific to your date, group and interests.
