Disneyland September 2025 Calendar of Events
It’s the season when summer and Halloween collides and everyone wants to get to Disneyland for fall festivities. There’s plenty of things to do and see this season I’m here to share how to navigate all the fun you’re about to have at Disneyland.
📅 2025 Only:
- Ongoing 70th Anniversary Celebration. Expect special food, merchandise, entertainment, and crowds.
- September 4-7, 2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend
- September 12-14, 2025 Gay Days Anaheim arrives

- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad first opened at Disneyland on September 15, 1979
September Disneyland Crowds
Crowds are a common concern for Disneyland guests—it’s tricky to navigate finding the best days with longer park hours, more open rides, a full entertainment schedule and low crowds.

❇️ General September Crowd Trends:
- Higher crowds around weekends when locals are using the rest of their summer special ticket
- Bigger crowds around Labor Day weekend
- More guests during runDisney events
- On Oogie Boogie Bash nights, people without tickets will flock to Disneyland Park
Disneyland September Hours
❇️ These hours are dependable, they’ve been the typical hours in September year after year.
- Disneyland Park opens at 8:00 am or 9:00 am and closes at 10:00 pm 11:00 pm or midnight.
- California Adventure Park opens at 8:00 am or 9:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm on regular nights, but closes at 6:00 pm on nights featuring Oogie Boogie Bash.
- Park hopping begins at 11:00 am for those with valid tickets and reservations.
- Early Entry is now on a daily rotation, see the schedule here.
This fall season I am loving bringing back jeans and cardigans over tanks and tees, being super comfy for the parks is always a win. Plus any type of sundress is always comfortable and cool.
❇️ Packing Tips:
- Breathable clothes like sundresses, tennis skirts, or shorts with built-in bike shorts
- Extra underwear and socks for mid-day outfit refresh
- Cooling towels or misting fans
- A lightweight outfit for evenings if you tend to get cold with A/C like me!
- Adults at Kids Prices on all 3-day and longer tickets.
