While the temperatures are still amped, so is the fun. It’s a perfect time to sneak in that last minute Disneyland trip before kids go back to school.

August 2026 Calendar of Events
It’s the season when summer and Halloween collides and everyone wants to get to Disneyland before school starts, or right after for lower crowds. There’s plenty of things to do and see this season I’m here to share how to navigate all the fun you’re about to have at Disneyland.

August Disneyland Crowds
Crowds are a common concern for Disneyland guests—it’s tricky to navigate finding the best days with longer park hours, more open rides, a full entertainment schedule and low crowds.
❇️ General August Crowd Trends
- Higher crowds around weekends when locals are using the rest of their summer special ticket
- More crowds the evenings of D23 Fan Event
- Expect more crowds the first few days of Halloween Time (end of August)

Disneyland August Hours
❇️ These hours are dependable, they’ve been the typical hours in August year after year.
- Disneyland Park opens at 8:00 am or 9:00 am and closes at 11:00 pm midnight.
- California Adventure Park opens at 8:00 am or 9:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm.
- Park hopping begins at 11:00 am for those with valid tickets and reservations.
- Early Entry is now on a daily rotation, see the schedule here.
This summer season I am loving all the tennis skirts and running short that have built in bike shorts under, they’re super trendy and comfy for the parks, as are any type of sundress. You’d be amazed how comfortable that is!
