During D23 Expo hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center, I stayed at Eden Roc Inn & Suites Anaheim just steps away from Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center.
As a full time Disneyland writer, I’m always trying out new resort-area hotels and of course, returning to my favorites.
Eden Roc Inn & Suites Location
Eden Roc Inn & Suites is located at 1830 S. West St. in Anaheim, CA.
Is this hotel walkable?
Yes, this boutique-style hotel is located just off Katella and Disneyland Drive, is an easy walk to Disneyland via Downtown Disney.
If you plan to walk to Disneyland Resort from here, know that it’s about a 15-20 minute walk regardless of which route you take. Super simple and not far, just takes a bit of time. I tested out several different routes and options from this hotel to Disneyland:
- Walk along Katella, then left on Harbor and enter through the pedestrian walkway. This is great if you want to stop at a local convenience store for some water bottles and snacks. I also like how quickly you get to the gates from this side’s security check off Harbor.
- Walk along Disneyland Drive and around near Paradise Pier Hotel to enter through Downtown Disney. You can make your trip a bit shorter here by hoping on the Monorail. You can’t cut through Grand Californian anymore, but you could go through the Grand on the way home. For some reason they check room keys when you enter through Disneyland Drive, but not via Downtown Disney.
- Uber or Lyft. I took an Uber to/from the hotel via Harbor Blvd. passenger pick up and drop off area. It cost me just under $7 each way.
- Another option is to park at Disneyland parking, but this hotel is just as close to the park gates as Mickey and Friends parking lot.
Eden Roc Inn & Suites Rooms
Eden Roc has under 100 rooms which means you’ll always get the attention you need when checking in or inquiring at the front desk.
Eden Roc’s general manager was there to greet me and kindly point out some of the amenities of this lovely hotel near Disneyland.
One thing she mentioned that is a major bonus for the Disneyland Resort area is parking is FREE! That is super hard to come by, but since they cater to a select number of guests, the parking lot is never crowded or full.
Eden Roc Inn & Suites enjoys hosting business clients attending events at Anaheim Convention Center as well as cheer groups, dance groups and others performing at Disneyland Resort.
Their affordable rates make it easy for families or groups to be in a comfortable, clean hotel without the hassle of added fees.

One thing’s for sure, my room was huge! Very simple and modern in decor, there was ample space for me and all my gear. If you’re traveling with young kids, the space to spread out really helps.
My room had two queen beds, a large closet and vanity area, along with a clean bathroom, small fridge and microwave. Of course a TV and free wifi was included as well.
I loved the faux-wood floors. It definitely gave the room a refreshed look and I didn’t walk around wondering if the carpet was clean enough for my feet :).
Eden Roc Inn & Suites Bonus
While this hotel doesn’t offer breakfast (here’s my favorite breakfasts to eat at Disneyland) they do have a large gathering area where you can bring your group or family to eat. The pool area is small, but adequate size for the number of rooms at the hotel.
After a comfortable two night stay at Eden Roc, I definitely recommend this hotel for Disneyland Resort guests or those attending an event at the Anaheim Convention Center. Have you tried Eden Roc Inn and Suites Anaheim?
We have stayed there in the 80s, it wa s a little rough but roomy and had a nice little pool. Then on to 2000 or so they did a peel and stick remodel, let’s just say the bed linen was clean and the ac worked, haven’t stayed there lately. Looks nice though. the price was 39.95 per weekend night in the early days
Woah, $40! That was back in the day ;). I was pleasantly surprised at the space. I just needed something affordable near the convention center and it was exactly what I needed. I would stay there again for sure.
