The Westin Anaheim Resort is the most luxurious hotel across the street from Disneyland Resort, it’s also one of few AAA Four-Diamond hotels in the area. Owned by Marriott, it’s easy to see why this property is a winner in the first two sentences alone.
I’ve stayed at The Westin Anaheim twice since it opened in June 2021. This classy, upscale hotel has more than earned its spot as a top choice for business and convention center travelers as well as Disneyland guests.
The Westin Anaheim Quick Details
The Westin by Disneyland is absolutely refreshing, comfortable, posh and elegant all at the same time. It was built on the site formerly occupied by the Anabella Hotel which closed its doors in 2017, but if you keep your eyes open in this new Westin, you’ll see some nods to Anabella around the resort. I am sharing everything you need to know about the Westin Anaheim Hotel, along with details you don’t want to miss.

The Westin Anaheim is one of a few AAA Four-Diamond properties in Anaheim including Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and Spa, The Disneyland Hotel, JW Marriott and The VIV. I’ve stayed in all of them and I’d rank The Westin at or near the top for multiple reasons—but the top reason being I think it is a true 4 Diamond experience. Keep reading to find out why.

Westin Anaheim Location
The Westin is in an ideal location at 1030 W. Katella Ave with an expansive property for hosting weddings, corporate events events, conferences, private dining experiences and more. Plus, it is nearly on property of the Anaheim Convention Center. It’s multiple functions give it the flexibility to cater to your every need.
Is this hotel walkable?
Yes, Westin is about a 15-20 minute walk to Disneyland. You’ll exit the hotel on Katella and head west (left) to the stoplight, cross the street to hear north on Disneyland Drive. Follow that road until you see the signs to enter Downtown Disney. You’ll use that access point for entry.
Here’s the best ways to get to Disneyland from Westin Anaheim:
- Walk. A great benefit to this hotel is location. It’s only about a 15-20 minute walk to Disneyland.
- Uber it! If you have someone with mobility issues, you might consider paying a few dollars for an Uber. It’ll likely take you longer than walking, but could be worth delaying any discomfort.
The Westin Anaheim Rooms
The rooms at The Westin are clean, beautifully appointed and set up for success whether you’re headed to Disneyland or a convention. The two room types I’ve stayed at are fresh, clean, comfortable and convenient. I love to use my own room photos so you can see what guest rooms look like without being staged by the corporate ownership.

- 2 Queen Traditional Queen/Queen
- Deluxe View Queen/Queen with Pool View
- 2 Queen Park View Queen/Queen with Balcony
Various room types offer different bathroom set ups. Your two queen room typically has this set up.
Whereas two queens with a park view have this type of bathroom set up.
Our king room with a theme park Disneyland view was my favorite bathroom set up with a huge soaker tub.
Here’s another look at that king walk in shower space. Just gorgeous.

Westin Hotel Pools and Dining
Now that you’ve seen the guest rooms, let’s explore the property a bit. First up, the grand welcome you get is simply stunning and exactly what you expect from a Westin property. There’s a fountain and bell services there to greet you all hours of the day and night.
I absolutely love the variety of dining offered on site at Westin, perfect for entertaining clients or family. I’ve dined at Fleming’s (actually before the hotel even opened, the restaurant was open!) with co-workers, at the Rise Rooftop Lounge for a private party, in the Tangerine Room and at our family’s favorite—Puesto!
Unfortunately I don’t have photos of Puesto, even though I’ve dined there several times! We’re always just enjoying the food and the company.
And how about one more look at those views?!
Don’t forget to schedule some downtime to lounge by the pool which is stunning and also has poolside drinks and food service.
All guests have access to the pool, chairs, umbrellas and poolside dining. Tell me, have you stayed at The Westin Anaheim? Let’s start your magical vacation, price out your trip here.
