Best Budget Disneyland Hotels in Anaheim

You love saving and you love Disneyland, this article is for you—we’ve got the best budget Disneyland hotels in Anaheim. All hotels listed are Disneyland good neighbor hotels.

Do any of these phrases ring true for you?

  • We just need a place to sleep
  • We don’t care about the hotel room
  • We plan to spend all our time at Disneyland
  • We don’t need anything fancy
  • We don’t want to spend too much on a hotel
  • We normally spend about $100 a night on hotels for vacation (note it will be more for a Disneyland stay)

There are so many good neighbor hotels in Anaheim, it can quickly get overwhelming. They come in a huge range of pricing with plenty of luxury and moderate priced options.

Disneyland Budget Hotels

With the expansion of the Disneyland Resort area and popularity, it’s harder to find budget pricing and determine if these lower priced choices are right for your Disney trip.

Here are some of the best ways to save and stay near Disneyland. Hotels are listed in alphabetical order for easy scrolling.

The Anaheim Hotel

The Anaheim Hotel is my favorite budget hotel near Disneyland Resort. They’ve done a fantastic job upgrading this property and the lobby is stunning.

Clarion is the most affordable budget hotel that is the closest to the Anaheim Convention Center. *It is consistently ranked high among budget-conscious guests which is why it’s listed here. However, I do not currently recommend it as I don’t think it’s up to par with area standards.

Desert Palms

Desert Palms is one hotel that has a huge fan-base. A lot of people book this hotel again and again. I was excited to tour it in 2021 to see what the fuss was all about. My conclusion: the fuss is a no-nonsense hotel at cheap rates, with a super short walk to Disneyland.

I have to say this hotel isn’t for me. I found it too dated and unappealing. One other criticism I’ve heard is it can get very noisy as the walls are thin. That being said, most hotels can be noisy and there are tons of people who love this hotel.

*Currently Hotel Lulu does not qualify for my list of “best.” I hesitate to even include it because I currently do not recommend it. However, it has so much potential and a lot of people ask about this hotel.

I ultimately decided to include it so readers can make their own decision. If something changes and I can update my recommendation, I will certainly do so.

The Anaheim Islander Inn and Suites is an awesome motel on Katella:
    424 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92802

We stay there all the time. It looks like any other motel in the area, but they’ve complete upgraded everything and it looks like new. The staff is always friendly and parking is free!
