This is your Disneyland Park Plan for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Whether you’re heading to Disneyland Resort to meet Princess Tiana, ride the new Princess and the Frog attraction, eat at Tiana’s Palace or shop at Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets—I’ve got details for you.
Official Opening November 15, 2024 at Disneyland Park, keep reading for the details!
I rode the new ride during the Magic Key preview and was blown away. This is a must ride and absolutely something you should not miss. It is stunning, gorgeous and worthy of Princess Tiana’s name. Grab a poncho (or a full rain suit like me) and give it go!
It’s the thrills we know and love from Splash Mountain but a whole new rider experience from Princess and the Frog! Tiana’s adventures don’t end with the movie—jump in on a ride down the Bayou with an original song and new characters as fresh scenes emerge at Disney Parks in 2024.
The former Splash Mountain ride with all its nods to Song of the South has gone down the big drop for the last time.

Pre-Arrival Tips for Tiana’s Ride
When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland, everyone (including Mama Odie) will want to get their feet wet first! I’ve been part of the opening days for both Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
My strategies to ride worked when those first opened and my real-life experience will certainly be added here for Tiana’s once it debuts at Disneyland.
- Secure your tickets and theme park reservations. Yes, it’s important to have your tickets in hand now. Discount tickets are available here. Be sure to buy multi-day tickets with a Park Hopper to increase your chance of riding.
- Download the Disneyland App and add everyone’s ticket to the app. If they’re traveling with you, their ticket should be linked in your app.
- Familiarize yourself with how the Disneyland app works. Practice using Lightning Lane.
Day-of Tips for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Important things to know for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure based off experience from other ride openings and Walt Disney World’s opening:
- Guests must be 40 inches or taller to ride down the Bayou, including a 50-foot drop. There are no restraints on this log flume ride.
- Understand this is a water ride and you will get wet! Bring or purchase a poncho. Bring or buy shoes that can get wet and dry quickly. You can also find a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-themed waterproof phone pouch and souvenir towel available for purchase at Louis’ Critter Club nearby.
- There are two ways to get on the ride—the free Stand By option or the Paid Lightning Lane Multi Pass option. I’ll explain how to use both of those options and increase your chance to ride below.
Free Way To Ride with Stand By
Check the wait times on the Disneyland app. I like to go to the attractions map, then select “show list” on the top right menu and scroll through the alphabetical list of rides. You’ll find Tiana’s Bayou Adventure closer to the bottom of the list.
That will display wait times throughout the day. Remember, most people will want to ride during the hottest time of day, but you know better…
You can check your weather app for the highest temp of the day and then head to Tiana’s about an hour before that peak (in the winter). That way, if you get wet (you will), you’ll be done riding and be ready to soak up the sun when it’s the warmest time of day.
Everyone else will just begin to be thinking about going over that direction now that it’s warm, resulting in longer wait times.
Ride with Lightning Lane Multi Pass
Riding with Lightning Lane Multi Pass might be a lower-stress way to get your turn on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Guests must have scanned into the park in to claim Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Lightning Line Multi Pass. If you’re heading to the parks for Rope Drop (and you should!) get Tiana’s early to avoid it “selling out” for the day.
When your Lightning Lane or Virtual Queue return time arrives, you generally have one hour to return to the attraction but be sure to enable push notifications and check your app for updates. View my entire guide on how Lightning Lane works here.
