Planning a trip to Disneyland and wondering which hotels offer a shuttle? You’re not alone and this question is increasingly common after the closure of the popular ART shuttle service we’ve relied on for years.
Keep in mind, not all Disneyland hotel shuttles are created equal—some will save you time, while others may actually slow you down. Here’s how to choose the right one.
Now that ART is no longer operating, things have changed. And knowing your transportation options is more important than ever. The good news? There are still several Disneyland hotels with shuttle service, but they’re not all created equal.
Some hotels offer:
- Dedicated hotel shuttles, included with your stay.
- Access to the new Grove District Transit system for a small fee.
- Or easy connections to nearby transportation like the free Toy Story parking shuttle.
Here’s the real deal from someone who has stayed in a lot of Disneyland-area hotels. In many cases, the best transportation option isn’t a shuttle at all, it’s staying within walking distance.
In this guide, I’ll break down:
- Which Disneyland hotels offer shuttle service.
- How the new ART replacement works.
- The best hotels for easy park access (with or without a shuttle).
- And my personal strategy for getting to Disneyland efficiently in 2026.
It’s important to get transportation right to save you time, money, and reduce stress on your Disneyland vacation.
Hotels with Shuttles
The game has changed and will continue to evolve into late-2026 as hotels scramble to stay relevant and connected with easy trips between the parks.
When choosing a hotel, the shuttle type offered is important. It could mean the difference between making Rope Drop or not.
- Hotel-Operated Shuttles – Often included with your stay, without any extra charge. Hotel-operated shuttles can be really nice because you’re not competing with a whole block or area of people, it’s only for hotel guests. Drivers are often employed by the hotel and the hotel takes pride in offering this service.
- Anaheim Resort Campus Shuttle – Serving 4 hotels in the Anaheim Convention Center area.
- Grove District Transit – Created as the first unified effort to replace ART. Set to service 9 Garden Grove hotels for a nominal fee. Hotels in this area can be very affordable, just remember to add extra time for transportation and be flexibile.
- Ride Share Options – Often the most flexible where you are in nearly complete control of your own schedule. Price is based on demand and car size. Convenience is huge, but it’s not as easy for anyone using mobility devices or those who require car seats.
- Walking Distance Hotels – The easiest way to stay close to the magic, but the closest hotels come with steeper prices per night. These hotels do not offer shuttle services.
Let’s dig into each of these with a list of hotels to match!
Hotel-Operated Shuttle List
Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel makes my top 10 best budget hotels near Disneyland. The Majestic offers free shuttle service with your stay. Their “Dream Machine Shuttle” takes you straight to and from the Disneyland Resort entrance.
This shuttle takes approximately 6 to 10 minutes, with no extra stops at other hotels—just a quick, free, direct route. Just join the line near the front of the hotel for the next available shuttle. The schedule is posted in the lobby.
While the hotel has a couple shuttles running throughout the day, it’s important to note that one specific type is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. The shuttle features a lift with a combined weight limit of 800 lbs. Reservations for ADA shuttles are required, so be sure to check with the front desk to save your spot.
Other perks: this hotel offers complimentary hot breakfast buffet and free parking when you book with Get Away Today.
Candy Cane Inn is probably a top to-stay-in-hotel for me, because I’ve never stayed there! I want to remedy this in 2026. It is always so adorable looking, recently underwent a major renovation and of course, has a free, dedicated shuttle for their guests.

Candy Cane Inn offers convenient shuttle service every hour during the park’s normal operating hours. For guests with special needs or mobility devices, Candy Cane Inn asks you contact them in advance so they can arrange alternative transportation if needed.
Other perks: Enjoy free continental breakfast and free parking. You can book Candy Cane Inn directly on their website or call 855 GET AWAY and mention “The Happiest Blog on Earth” because calling is the only way you can book Candy Cane Inn with Get Away Today at this time.
These are also the closest hotels with shuttle access.
Anaheim Resort Campus Shuttle
Anaheim Resort Campus Shuttle has arrived! Serving 4 hotels in the Anaheim Convention Center area. These are also the closest hotels with shuttle access.
Here’s a list of all the hotels the Anaheim Resort Campus Shuttle services.
-
Hilton Anaheim recently completed a multi-million-dollar, full-property renovation, including room upgrades, dining changes and more. I spoke with the general manager and review the hotel in the link above.
-
Anaheim Marriott is a highly rated hotel in the Anaheim Convention Center block. They also offer guaranteed connected rooms for sleeping up to 8 people in two queen beds (4 queen beds total).
-
Clarion Hotel has been operating in Anaheim for years. It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at this budget hotel. I can’t say I recommend it at this time, but you can certainly read reviews at the link above and decide if this fits your needs.
-
Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort is another on the same block as the Anaheim Convention Center. It offers oversized guest room and an Olympic-sized pool,
Garden Grove Shuttle
Grove District Transit is a new shuttle service connecting select Garden Grove hotels to Disneyland Resort.
Here’s a list of all the hotels the Garden Grove District Transit services.
- Sheraton Garden Grove – Anaheim South is where I stayed in 2024 and had the best sleep! The beds are ones you’ll only find at Sheraton hotels. Other perks include free breakfast when you book with my link and free onsite parking.

More about the Grove District Transit
If you can, I suggest using an Uber or ride share for Rope Drop, but this is still a good alternative.
- Operates daily
- Service begins at 7:15 AM
- Runs until 12:45 AM
- Arrives approximately every 30 minutes
Each route only serves 3 hotels, so that makes the trip duration shorter AND hopefully less crowded. There will be one bus that trails the route to pick up any extra guests who weren’t able to fit in the first shuttle.
This means you need to arrive at your stop early to line up, especially if you’re planning to rope drop.
Route 1 (10–20 minutes to Disneyland)
- Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area/Garden Grove
- Sheraton Garden Grove – Anaheim South
- Great Wolf Lodge Southern California
Route 2 (~15 minutes to Disneyland)
- Delta Hotels by Marriott Anaheim Garden Grove
- Anaheim Marriott Suites
- Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim-Main Gate Area
Route 3 (~15 minutes to Disneyland)
- Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South
- Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim/Garden Grove
- Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim/Garden Grove
Prices (at time of publishing)
- $7 per day (unlimited rides)
- $21 for a 3-day pass
- Kids under 3 ride free
How often does the shuttle run?
Shuttles run approximately every 30 minutes from 7:15 AM to 12:45 AM.
Ride Share Options
If you’re using Uber (use this link for savings), Lyft or any other ride share service, your hotel options around Disneyland Resort is expansive! You can truly choose anything—but I recommend these top hotels that are just a little bit out of walking range for most families, but high on the ratings of satisfied guests.
Here’s a list of my top hotels when using Ride Share services.
- The VIV is such a cool property with modern and fresh hotel rooms. The decor is awesome, I love the bunk beds in the family rooms and the roof top bar/lounge, along with the roof top adults only pool. This place has it all.
- Cambria / Anaheim Resort Suites has always been on my go-to list, especially for large families. You’ve got huge family suites with bunk beds, free breakfast and water slides in their expansive pool area.
Walking Distance Hotel List
There are tons of hotels within walking distance to Disneyland Resort. This map shows my favorites, which I’ll tell you more about below.
- Howard Johnson with newly updated rooms and always a blast at their kid-friendly splash zone.
- Courtyard is “thee Courtyard” everyone is talking about. It’s gorgeous, has all suites and water slides!
- Fairfield is a great Marriott property super close to the main gates.
- Camelot is one step closer to Disneyland with family suites that has a door between rooms, hallelujah!
- Tropicana is very, very close. I love being able to cross the street and be right there.
- Best Western has several nearby properties, but this one is the absolute closest one. Don’t get them confused.
- Grand Legacy is a staple to Anaheim and has a rich history with a wide variety of rooms to choose from, plus a rooftop bar and lounge, The FIFTH.
Toy Story Shuttle
Contrary to what you might have seen on social media, the Toy Story Parking lot and shuttle is running as usual. Disney operates this parking lot, but anyone can walk in (or pay to park here) and use this free shuttle service.
I’ve stayed at a few of these hotels right next to the Toy Story Shuttle lot. Here’s which ones I recommend:
Shuttle vs Walking
I personally prefer walking distance, but you can save more money the farther away you stay. Plus, most hotels that offer a shuttle or require ride share services usually have included amenities like free or reduced parking, breakfast included, suite style rooms and of course those discounts!
My Top Picks
- Walk when possible – walking distance includes Harbor Hotels, Manchester Hotels, most Katella Hotels, Disney owned Hotels. Check out these maps for details.
- Walking distance to Toy Story lot for a free shuttle ride to Disneyland.
- Shuttle – via Grove District, or other hotels listed above that include shuttle services.
- Uber or Lyft – great for rope drop / late nights
